As a modern organization and a team of forward-looking professionals, Technofy has been practicing Agile & DevOps ways of working (more on the Agile topic coming soon) since its beginning.
However, led by the belief that the only way forward is to learn and to learn quickly and effectively on a regular basis, Technofy and ITCE joined forces with the purpose of advancing the Technofy team’s DevOps practices further, strengthening the right behaviors, fine-tuning rituals and practices and, most importantly, learning together as a team and aligning knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles.
By blending business simulations, ‘ask the expert’ sessions with ITCE, internal retrospectives and improvements, the team focused on 3 areas of further mastering DevOps:
Strengthening the Continuous Learning Culture

DevOps has been named: a cultural evolution; an evolution of how IT services are delivered and supported; a mindset; a set of behavioral and technical practices. All of this suggest a culture which puts a strong emphasis on people sharing discoveries, sharing learnings, and sharing best practices.
Applying mature Agile practices

Agile teams are a pre-requisite of DevOps ways of working. That is why, collaborating effectively through a set of rituals and principles to achieve continuous flow (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban) and providing the team with the necessary visibility are key to delivering solutions quickly and reliably.
Measuring Everything

As in a DevOps world everything happens quickly but in small batches, so in order to introduce improvements, everything has to be measured all the time. Measure team success, continuous delivery pipeline, risk and bottlenecks, and data collected (such as bugs, failed deploys, incidents).
In the end, DevOps is about the people and the culture and the technology will follow.
So, curious to see all of this applied in action? Find out in the upcoming article about the way in which Technofy experienced DevOps through a simulation facilitated by ITCE.
