Overview

Challenge of Egypt is project management business simulation that lets participants engage in an interactive environment to learn through experience and practice the concepts of project management. A strong focus is placed on exploring options for handling difficult situations in a real-word project scenarios.

The workshop is highly engaging and exciting as the whole situation takes place in ancient Egypt. The Pharaoh needs a pyramid to secure his afterlife. The team has to deal with all kinds of events and setbacks to deliver value to the Pharaoh while keeping the project within scope, quality, budget and time.

Challenge of Egypt is offered in two versions:

  • Traditional Project Management
  • Agile Project Management.

While playing the “The Challenge of Egypt“ business simulation, the team will go through a series of retrospectives to enhance the learning process:

  • Observation and retrospective session at the end of every round of the business simulation;
  • Experience sharing between the teams;
  • Analysis of outcome of each team and evaluation;
  • Conclusions and recommendations for improvement.

For teams

The business simulation can also be delivered in a closed group for a team, aiming to improve the teamwork and identify improvements that can be introduced to your organizational Project Management process. It can be delivered as part of a team building or off-site event.

Are there any prerequisites for the business simulation? 

There are no fixed prerequisites for attendance. Still, the simulation will be more useful for you if you have some experience working in a project-based environment.
