Based on the best-selling the Phoenix Project, the DevOps Business Simulation translates theory into practice and allows the participants to learn, experience, experiment and draw conclusions on adopting DevOps practices.
As DevOps is about integrating Development and Operations to enable continual product roll-outs, it calls for a change in the mindset and in the ways of doing things. Therefore, in the game, participants need to work closely together on a scenario to make “The Phoenix Project” program – an IT enabled business transformation – a success.
The essence of DevOps
Learn the essence of DevOps by applying DevOps principles in a real-life situation and obtain immediate feedback in a safe environment.
Communication is key!
In the business simulation, as in real projects time is not enough, and the issues keep coming but the need for communication stays. Learn how to improve team work and identify improvements to the way you manage and run projects.
Practice! Practice! Practice!
It translates theory into practice and allows the participants to experiment and draw conclusions on adopting DevOps practices.
The “Phoenix Project” DevOps Business Simulation has been designed and developed by our Dutch partner GamingWorks and has been recognized world-wide as a true source of value and inspiration by every team that has experienced it.
The business simulation at ITCE was an opportunity for each team member to walk in another’s shoes. That created the feeling of unity and mutual responsibility. As we worked on projects similar to those of our practice, we could learn from our mistakes in a safe environment.Ivelin Nikolaev,
Throughout the whole training the instructors gave us clear explanations, well-thought-out guidance, and practical examples and established the open communication between all of us. Without any doubt, that was the best way to experience DevOps.
