The dynamics of the new technologies, digital transformation and innovations require development of new skills and knowledge both at individual and company level. In order to facilitate this process and to enable the customers to be up-to-date with the technologies, Microsoft has recently introduced new streamlined technical certification tracks, aligned to industry-recognized areas of competence.
Five new Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) and Developer (MCSD) specialties have been released which enable professionals to meet the technical requirements. The difference between the new certifications and the existing ones is that the new ones do not have recertification requirements. The previous recertification process, which required taking specific recertification exam every 2 or 3 years, is now replaced by the opportunity to have an active certification by passing an “exam from the list of electives, demonstrating your investment in broadening or deepening your skills in a given Center of Excellence”. More details are available on the following pages:
In addition, Microsoft Certified Professionals who have successfully achieved a particular certification now may easily share their competencies and skills thanks to the Digital Microsoft Badge. Badges are web-enabled representations of Microsoft certifications. Their purpose is to visualize one’s certifications. This would help Microsoft Professionals to demonstrate their skills and certification in the social media, to personalize their signatures and to find new professional opportunities and development.
